Basque Country

The Bask land is of particular interest for its completely individual culture. It has a language of its own with mysterious origins and its own particular sports like the so-called Basqueball ("pelota vasca"). Today it is one of the most industrialised regions of Spain. Despite this there are many areas of almost untouched nature, notably the natural parks of Valderejo, Urkiola, Urdaibai along with the mystic landscapes along the Guernica river. It is a great region for hiking, riding, golf and all sorts of mountain sports.
